തിരുവല്ല: ക്രൈസ്തവ ഗാനരംഗത്ത് പുത്തന്‍ പാത വെട്ടിത്തുറന്ന സംഗീതസംവിധായകനും ഗായകനുമായ ജെ. വി. പീറ്റര്‍ (59) കര്‍ത്തൃസന്നിധിയില്‍ ചേര്‍ക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി പന്ത്രണ്ടു മണിയോടെ ഹൃദയാഘാതത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. പരുമലയിലുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലെ മോര്‍ച്ചറിയില്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മൃതദേഹം പിന്നീട് സംസ്‌കരിക്കും. തമിഴുനാട്ടില്‍ ജനിച്ചുവളര്‍ന്ന പീറ്ററില്‍ ചെറുപ്പം മുതല്‍ സംഗീതവാസന മുറ്റിനിന്നിരുന്നു. സിനിമയില്‍ സംഗീതസംവിധായകനാകണമെന്ന മോഹത്തോടെ കഴിയുമ്പോള്‍ അതികഠിനമായ രോഗത്തിനടിമയായി. നിരാശയോടെ ജീവിതം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങുമ്പോഴാണു ഒരു പ്രാര്‍ഥനയില്‍ സംബന്ധിച്ച് അത്ഭുതരോഗസൗഖ്യം പ്രാപിക്കാനിടയായിത്തീര്‍ന്നത്. തുടര്‍ന്നു ക്രൈസ്തവഗാനരംഗത്തെത്തിയ അദ്ദേഹം 1970കളോടെ കേരളത്തിലെത്തി. പാസ്റ്റര്‍ വി. എ. തമ്പി സ്ഥാപിച്ച ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് ഫൊര്‍ ഇന്ത്യാ ഗോസ്പല്‍ ട്യൂണേഴ്‌സിലെ സംഗീത സംവിധായകനും ഗായകനുമായായിരുന്നു രംഗപ്രവേശം. കേരളത്തിലെ സുവിശേഷവേദികളില്‍ സജീവ സാന്നിധ്യമായ അദ്ദേഹം പിന്നീട് എണ്‍പതുകളിലാണ് ഗോസ്പല്‍ ട്യൂണേഴ്‌സ് എന്ന പേരില്‍ സ്വന്തം സംഗീതസംഘം തുടങ്ങിയത്.
''നീ എന്‍ സ്വന്തം നീ എന്‍ പക്ഷം...'', ''എണ്ണി യെണ്ണി സ്തുതിക്കുവാന്‍...'', ''മറുകരയില്‍ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടിടും....'' തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി മലയാളം ഗാനങ്ങളും തമിഴുഗാനങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ തലമുറയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും അധികം മലയാളം ഗാനങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതിയതു പീറ്റര്‍ ആയിരിക്കാം. വളഞ്ഞവട്ടത്തു താമസിച്ചു വന്നിരുന്ന പീറ്റര്‍ സ്വന്തമായി റിക്കോര്‍ഡിങ് സ്റ്റുഡിയോയും നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. അമേരിക്ക, ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട്, ദോഹ, ഖത്തര്‍ , കുവൈറ്റ് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ച് സുവിശേഷ ഗാനങ്ങള്‍ ആലപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഭാര്യ നിര്‍മല ഗായികയാണ്.

Nepal Visit
Pastor Sabu Thomas, & Pastor Johny Nidhri visited our Nepal mission fields on 22nd & 23rd of July . They attended different church meetings & preached the word of God .Mainly they visited Itthari, Pattri, Sonapur & Viratnagar mission fields. A leaders training programme was conducted at Goorkha Land Residency Hotel, Ithari on 23rd July . 40 church leaders attended & was empowered by the Word Of God. Pr Johny discharged the message . it enlightened the attendees.
